Warum springen die Bäume auch immer auf die Straße?

Alleen und Straßenbäume werden durch die ESAB (Empfehlungen zum Schutz vor Unfällen mit Aufprall auf Bäume) und RPS (Richtlinien für passiven Schutz an Straßen durch Fahrzeuge- Rückhaltesysteme) für tödliche Verkehrsunfälle verantwortlich gemacht und als lebensgefährlich abgestempelt! Nicht der Verursacher ist Schuld, sondern die Natur. Dadurch sind gerade in Brandenburg die alten Alleen sehr gefährdet.

Alleen sind ein wervolles Kulturgut und unverzichtbar für Vögel und Säugetiere. Daher wurden im Brandenburgischen Naturschutzgesetz die Alleen unter Schutz gestellt und explizit eine Nachpflanzung gefordert.

Doch es regt sich Widerstand. Und so bitten wir Euch: Beteiligt Euch an der Protestaktion zur Erhaltung von Alleen und Straßenbäumen. Schickt eine Email mit folgendem Inhalt an das Verkehrsministerium (Frame-Alarm und fehlerhaftes JavaScript!):

Sehr geehrter Herr Minister Bodewig,

ich unterstütze die Aktion der FLL gegen die Einführung der ESAB und der RPS-Novelle durch Ihr Haus.

Nicht die Bäume sind Schuld am tödlichen Ausgang von Verkehrsunfällen, sondern meistens das Fehlverhalten der Autofahrer (zu hohe Geschwindigkeit, Alkohol, risikoreiches Fahrverhalten, Übermüdung).

Ich fordere Sie auf, die ESAB und RPS zurückzuziehen oder so zu überarbeiten, dass diese Punkte gewährleistet sind:

• Bestandsschutz für Alleen + Straßenbäume!
• Neupflanzungen von Straßenbäumen gemäß bestehender Praxis!
• Abstände wie bisher!

Alles andere ist inakzeptabel!

Die Aktion wurde von der Forschungsgesellschaft Landschaftsentwicklung Landschaftsbau e.V. (FLL) initiiert und wird von zahlreichen anderen Verbänden unterstützt. [Gabi]
